Master Lock has always been confusing with the 379. First, the Keyed-Alike and Keyed Different versions had the same body style, but different colors. Now they have replaced the Keyed Different version (379DAT) with a totally new style, but kept the old style for the Keyed Alike version. Finally, they recently came back out with a Keyed Different lock in the older style, painted it red and called it the 389DAT.
In any case, the Master 379 / 389 is a great economical little universal coupler lock and we stock all the variations.
This model uses a Master K1 Key. They all come from the factory keyed differently, but since they are rekeyable, we can match them to many other Master Lock products in our inventory: see our section on "Keyed-Alike Locks".
Since they are rekeyable, we can also match them to any Master Lock K1 key that you own. Just let us know what key number you need in the comments section.
