There are two different 7-way to 6-way electrical adapters available. Years ago, some trailers were wired with the center pin as the brake lead and others with the center pin as the auxiliary lead. This adapter is designed for trailers with the BRAKE lead in the center. Please check to be sure how your trailer is wired before purchasing. The adapter with the auxiliary lead in the center is the 12-729.
