Two major differences set this lock apart from the standard Master #5 padlock and explains the added cost.

The biggest plus is that this lock is rekeyable. This allows you to have your locks rekeyed when a key is lost or an employee leaves with their keys. We actually purchase these locks unpinned. That gives us the flexibility of pinning them to suit your need, either keyed differently or keyed alike. We can make up a key number or match your existing K27 keys.
We can even change the cylinder to a W1 to match your existing Master locks that use K1 keys.

If you elect to stay with the standard W27 cylinder, you get the added pick resistance of the extra pin.

So, if you want the ruggedness of the Master #5 and the flexibility of a rekeyable lock, the #25 is the lock for you.
