This box is constructed of heavy gauge steel and has a sturdy cam lock in the lid. It has a dual sided key that unfortunately doesn't match any other Master Lock Products.

If you are looking at the Master 7142 Security Chest under the "Gun Locks" section, you may think we are confused, but we got the idea from a customer and loved it. What better way to keep your pistols, revolvers, clips and ammo out of unwanted hands (like visiting grandchildren), yet easily accessible than by keeping them in a heavy steel box like this. When company comes over, just lock the lid. The end handles also make this box easy to retrieve from under the bed. I'm even thinking about bolting one of these 7142's to the floor in my truck to keep valuables in.
